The Nike Air More Uptempo, initially introduced in 1996 with Scottie Pippen as its ambassador, has enjoyed several re-releases in 2010, 2016, and 2020, with the most recent being the 2023 “Black White” iteration.

Remarkably, the Air More Uptempo has remained largely unchanged throughout its nearly three-decade history. It still features a predominantly black nubuck upper, accented by bold white “AIR” lettering on each side. The iconic black jewel Swoosh adorns the heel, and the full-length Air unit and a prominent white Swoosh on the outsole remain signature elements.

We believe Nike has wisely chosen to maintain the original design integrity of this timeless classic. The Air More Uptempo achieved instant success during Pippen’s era, and we contend that there’s no need to tamper with perfection.
